How the price table works

When iOS 13 was announced last June, a feature that may seem basic caused quite a stir. Tim Cook announced that we would finally be able to get rid of controllers certified "Made for iPhone", which are not always to the taste of players.

The connection is simply made via the Bluetooth of the devices. A solution so easy – it does not require any particular hardware – that one wonders why Apple did not take the plunge sooner.

The name of the controllers appears in the Bluetooth settings, but there is no way to rename them.

Connect your Dualshock 4

On the PS4 controller, pairing is easy. It must be turned off and the Bluetooth on your iPad, iPhone or Apple TV must be activated. Hold the PS and Share buttons for 5 seconds, and presto, the name "DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller" will appear in the list of Bluetooth devices. Note that several controllers can be added at the same time. Perfect for multiplayer games.

Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller

With Microsoft's Xbox controller, the process is even easier since you just have to press the connection button found right next to the LB trigger. Your controller must first be on, and that's it. As with the PS4, several of these controllers can be paired at the same time. On the other hand, make sure you have an Xbox One S or Xbox One X controller. Indeed, the latter use the Bluetooth connection to connect to the console, which was not the case with the first Xbox One .

As a bonus, it's good to know that both types of controllers can be connected to your Apple device at the same time. The company brings Xbox and Playstation gamers closer together, and that's great!
