How to change the language of WhatsApp
want change the language of WhatsApp? The only way to do this is to change the language of the device on which you have installed the application. The WhatsApp menus, in fact, are shown in the default language of the system in use: this means that if the phone is set in your language, the language used by the app will be your language; if the phone is set in English, the language used in the app will be English and so on. Therefore, to change the language of WhatsApp, simply change the language of your smartphone: here is in detail how to do it on Android and iPhone.
Android
If you have a smartphone Android and you want to change the system language (therefore also that of WhatsApp), go to the app Settings (the icon ofgear located on the home screen), tap on the item Language and keyboards (on other devices you may find the wording Language and input or Language and input), then presses on the voice Language and, in the screen that opens, select the language you want to use for the interface of your smartphone. If no languages other than your language are shown to you, locate the entry Add language and, from the menu that opens, select the language you want to set as default.
The items to change the system language may be slightly different depending on the brand of the device you are using and the version of Android installed on it. If you are having trouble finding the language change entry, try typing "language"Or"languages" in search bar present in the app Settings, so that you can find the language change setting more easily. As soon as you have changed the language of your device, WhatsApp will also adopt it automatically.
If you decide to reset your language as the default, go back to Settings> Language and keyboards> Language and select Your Language. Of course, the items I have just indicated will be in the language you previously set.
iPhone
If you have one iPhone, avvia l'app Settings (the icon ofgear located on the Home screen), tap on the item Generali, then press on Language and Zone and, in the screen that opens, press on the language you want to use for the interface of your iPhone (and, therefore, also of WhatsApp).
On the next screen, then tap on the item IPhone language, select the language where you want to view the interface of your iPhone, presses on the voice end located at the top right, press on the item Change to "[language name]" and wait for a few seconds for iOS to apply the changes.
If you decide to reset your language as the default, go back to Settings> General> Language & Region> iPhone Language and select your language from the list of available languages. Of course, the items I have just indicated will be in the language you set just now.
PC
You use WhatsApp on the PC, through the WhatsApp Web service or through the official client of the messaging platform? Also in this case you can change the language of WhatsApp by changing the default language of your computer.
- Su Windows 10 - go to PC settings> Date / time and language> Region and language and click sul pulsating Add a language. Then select the language to download and use on Windows 10. Once the download of the language to be used is complete, select it, click on the button Set as default and restart your PC to make the changes just made effective.
- Su Windows 7 - it is only possible to switch languages using an Ultimate or Enterprise edition of the operating system. If you are using another version of Windows, you will be forced to resort to third-party software, such as Vistalizator. - Su MacOS - go to System Preferences> Language and Region, click the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead located at the bottom left of the window that opened, select the language you want to use and click on the button Add. At this point, macOS will ask you if you want to set the newly added language as the default: click the button Use [language name] and restart your Mac to make the changes.
How to change keyboard language on WhatsApp
During your days, do you often communicate on WhatsApp in different languages? If so, chances are you want to know how to change keyboard language on whatsapp, in order to type the texts correctly and have a correct spelling active in various languages. In the next paragraphs I will explain how to proceed on both Android and iPhone.
Android
To change the keyboard language to Android, go to the app Settings pressing the icon ofgear placed on the home screen, then presses on the voice Language and keyboards (o Language and input, Language and input, etc.), then on Keyboard and, in the screen that opens, tap on the item Select language. So put the check mark (✓) on the languages you want to use while typing and that's it. If you are using a version of Android earlier than 7.0, to activate the keyboard you must go to the menu Settings> Language and input> Current keyboard> Choose keyboards.
After changing the settings related to the keyboard in use on your device, you can change the keyboard language "on the fly" by pressing and holding the globe located at the bottom left of the keyboard (on other devices, the IT or a icon keyboard) and then selecting the language from the menu that appears on the screen.
Please note: Android settings menus may change depending on the version of the operating system you are using and the brand of smartphone you own. The items to be selected on your device, therefore, may be slightly different from those I have just indicated. iPhone
If you use WhatsApp on iPhone, to change the keyboard language, you have to go to the iOS settings relating to keyboard customization and add the languages in which you want to type on your "iPhone by".
Then start the app Settings by tapping onicona dell'ingranaggio present on the Home screen, presses on the item Generali and tap on the item Keyboard located at the bottom of the screen that opens. Now, to add a new keyboard or to replace the one currently in use, presses on the item Keyboards and then press on the item Add new keyboard .... In the screen that opens, presses on language name you want to add and that's it.
If you also want to change the order of use of the keyboards you have added, tap on the item Modification located at the top right (always on the screen Keyboards), tap on the symbol (≡≡) placed in correspondence with the keyboards in the list and, holding down on the symbol in question, drag the selected keyboard up or down, according to the order you prefer.
From this moment on, you can change the keyboard to be used when typing by holding down the icon for a few seconds globe at the bottom left of the screen and then choosing the keyboard of your interest from the menu that appears.
After changing the settings related to the keyboard in use on your iPhone, while typing you can choose which one to use directly on WhatsApp: start the instant messaging app, locate the chat or user you want to message with, tap on the typing bar to call up the keyboard, make a long tap on the del symbol globe located at the bottom left of the same and, in the menu that appears, selecting the keyboard language you want to use to write the message on WhatsApp. Easier than that?
