How to block other people's WhatsApp statuses
If your intention is to block status on WhatsApp of specific contacts, all you have to do is access the section State of the famous messaging application for Android devices (also available on the official website, as an APK file) and iPhone, select the contact whose status you do not want to see and choose the option to disable its display.
Before proceeding, however, you must know that to block (and also to reactivate) the status of a person it is necessary that the latter has published at least one in the last 24 hours. Otherwise, it will not be possible to deactivate the display until the user in question publishes a new status.
Having said that, however block other people's WhatsApp statuses on Android, grab your smartphone, start WhatsApp and press on the item State located in the top menu. Now, in the sections Recent updates o Viewed updates, locate the person whose status you do not want to see and tap his name, to open its latest state. In the new screen that appears, tap the i icon three dotsat the top right, and select the option disable from the opened menu.
After that, in the screenshot Disable status updates for [name], award-winning disable And that's it.
If, on the other hand, you want block status on WhatsApp iPhone, you must know that the procedure is almost identical to the one I just indicated to disable the display of the status of a person on Android.
Again, access the section State of your WhatsApp account, by tapping on the relative option located in the bottom menu, open the status of the person of your interest (by pressing on his name), tap on the i icon three dotsat the top right, and select the option disable per due turn consecutive.
If you change your mind, regardless of the device you own, you can reactivate the status display at any time. To do this, click on the item State, fai tap sull'opzione Updates disabled and first name of the person you intend to "unlock".
Now, tap on the icon of three dots, at the top right, select the option Attiva from the menu that opens and, in the new screen displayed, press again on the item Attiva, to reactivate the display of the statuses published by the person in question.
Finally, I would like to point out that it is not possible to block other people's WhatsApp statuses from computer, neither by using the WhatsApp client for Windows and macOS nor by accessing WhatsApp Web, the Web version of the famous messaging service. How to block a person's WhatsApp status
If you are wondering if it is possible block a person's WhatsApp status, i.e. blocking a specific contact from viewing your statuses, you'll be glad to know the answer is yes. In fact, it is sufficient to access the section State of WhatsApp, click on the privacy option and select the people to prevent from viewing the published statuses.
To proceed, if you have a device Android, tap on the item State located in the menu at the top, tap on the icon of three dots located at the top right and select the option State privacy from the opened menu. Now, put the check mark next to the item My contacts except and, in the new screen that appears, select the people to hide your states from. Then press the button ✓ And that's it.
block viewing WhatsApp status su iPhone, start the app in question, press on the item State located in the menu at the bottom and, in the new screen displayed, tap on the option Privacy placed at the top left. Now, near the entry Who can see my updates, select the option My contacts except, put the check mark next to contact name you want to exclude from the display and press the button Done, per salvare I modified it.
Alternatively, if you want to allow only specific people to view, after selecting the option State Privacy / Privacy, choose the item Share only with, put the check mark next to people of your interest and press the button ✓ (or sull'opzione Done, if you have an iPhone), to change the privacy settings for viewing your statuses.
If you change your mind, the procedure for allowing someone you previously blocked to view your statuses again is almost the same as for deactivating. All you have to do, in fact, is access the sections State e State Privacy / Privacy of WhatsApp and press on the option My contacts except.
At this point, if you have a device Android, remove the check mark next to the person you previously blocked, press the button ✓, to save the changes and tap on the item end, to return to the section State. On iPhone, invece, award your pulse X relative to the person to "unblock" and tap on the option Done.
Finally, I would like to point out that even in this case it is not possible to block the display of your states from computer. In fact, by accessing the section State from the WhatsApp client for Windows and macOS or from WhatsApp Web, you can only view the statuses published by other users.
