Furthermore, when the Adapter is started for the first time, you will be prompted to download the FFMPEG. Also in this case, follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the procedure.
Now you can finally move on to the actual conversion procedure. To proceed, drag the video of your interest in the Adapter main window, go to drop down menu located at the bottom (center) and select the output format you prefer by clicking on the items Audio> General and selecting the one of your interest (eg. MP3, AAC, Etc.).
Then click on the green button Convert and wait for the conversion procedure to be started and completed. The output file will be saved in the same folder where the “original” file was (unless you decide to change destination, using the appropriate field). Convenient, right?
How to turn video to audio on Mac
If you want turn a video to audio on Mac, you can also use Adapter in this case, which I told you about in the previous chapter. However, if you want to convert a video in MP4, MOV o M4V, you can also avoid resorting to third-party solutions and turn to QuickTime Player, the player included “standard” in macOS.
How can you use it for this purpose? Very simple: first, open the video of your interest by double clicking on its preview or, if you have changed the macOS settings and QuickTime Player is no longer the default player for videos, right-click on the file of your interest and select the items Apri with> QuickTime Player give the menu check if you press.
After starting the video in question, click on the menu Fillet (top left, in the macOS menu bar), select the item Export as from the latter and click on the wording Only audio. In the box that has opened it then indicates the name to be assigned to the output audio file (using the text field Export as), specify the destination folder of the file using the menu placed next to the item located in and, finally, click on the button Save.

It is a free and easy-to-use solution by which you can convert video files to MP3 or AAC formats.
After installing and starting MP3 Video Converter and giving it all the necessary permissions to make it work, press the button TO SELECT at the top right and choose the video you want to act on. Then press the button COPY (ACC) and select a target format from MP3 e AAC (according to your preferences) from the opened menu. If you also want to act on the quality of the output file, do it by pressing the button xx KB / S / VBR and select the option of your interest (eg. 245 kb / s (VBR) o 192 kb / s (VBR)).
Once this is done, press the button MODIFICATION located on the right and indicates the name and location you want to assign to the output file. When you are ready to do it, press the button Converted located at the bottom of the screen and wait for the file conversion to complete.
Once the conversion procedure is finished, you can listen to the resulting audio file by pressing the button Play. Of course, you can also go and "fetch" it in the destination folder you previously designated and open it with any player installed on your device.
How to turn video to audio on iPhone
If you have one iPhone (or possibly a iPad), you can take advantage of theCommands app Apple, available on iOS 12 and later versions (and which can be downloaded from the App Store if necessary) to extract the audio track from the videos in the system gallery.
If you have never heard of it, Commands is a solution designed to run scripts that allow you to automate an infinite number of operations (even very complex ones) and can be used both to create new scripts from scratch and to run scripts downloaded from the Internet , like what I'm about to propose to you.
First, then presses on this link by acting from Safari, to access the quick command for exporting video in audio format, and press the button Get Quick Commands / Add Untrusted Quick Command in order to install it.
If your iPhone (or iPad) is updated to iOS 13 (or a later version), to install the script you must first disable some restrictions: then go to the menu Settings> Quick Commands of iOS, move to ON the switch located next to the item Allow untrusted shortcuts and press on the item Allow. Then repeat the installation of the script as seen above.
Next, tap on the item My quick commands, tap on the shortcut icon Video To Audio and, after granting the latter permission to access the iOS roll, press the button Play (bottom right), to start the command. Then select the video you want to convert to MP3 by pressing on its preview, and wait for it to load.
Finally, select the item Choose (bottom right), wait for the video to be compressed using the shortcut and, in the menu that opens, choose one of the saving or sharing options from those available (eg. Save your File, Vocal Memo, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.). Simple, right?
