To begin with, start the WhatsApp app by pressing on its icon on the screen of your Android smartphone or your iPhone in which there are also the icons of all the other applications, then press on the item State which is at the top right on Android and at the bottom left on iOS and select the story posted by the contact of your interest among those you find under the heading Recent updates. Keep in mind that whenever new stories are available at the entry State a indicator special.
The stories already viewed are instead listed under the heading Viewed updates (which appears if necessary), always in the app's status screen.
Once you have started viewing a story, you can momentarily pause its playback by pressing and continuing to hold the display. If you remove your finger from the screen, story playback resumes normally and all available content is shown. If you want, you can go straight to the reproduction of the next content by pressing on the screen. To stop playback permanently, instead, perform a slight swipe downwards.
If you want, you can also comment on a given content. To do this, you have to press on the voice Reply which is at the bottom of the screen of each story and type your message in the appropriate field that appears.
If, on the other hand, you do not want the contents posted by a specific user to be automatically played, press on his status, then on the button [...] at the top right and choose disable twice in succession from the menu that appears. Later you can eventually view the stories by deliberately pressing on the relevant username on the screen State which, however, starting from this moment, you will find under the heading Updates disabled.

If you then want to view your history, you can do so at any time by always going to the section State of the app by tapping on the appropriate item at the top right on Android and at the bottom left on iOS and then pressing on the preview at the top twice in a row. On the screen My updates, visible after the first tap, you can also find out how many and which contacts have viewed your status by pressing theeye which is on the right.
If, on the other hand, you want to delete the story you posted, all you have to do is tap twice in a row on the relevant preview that is shown to you on the screen. State application and then proceed as follows depending on whether you are using Android or iOS.
- Your Android, press and continue to hold down on the preview of your story until you see the symbol of green tick then press the button with the dustbin which is at the top right and confirms what your intentions are.
- Your iOS, presses on the voice Modica which is at the top right, stop on the empty dot next to your story preview, tap on the item Delete that you find at the bottom right and confirm the choice made.
Are you also interested in understanding how to adjust the privacy settings related to your state in such a way as to choose who can view your content and who can not? Then proceed as indicated below, again depending on the mobile platform in use.

Now, regardless of the mobile operating system used, choose whether to share your status with all your contacts (My counted), whether to share your story with all your contacts except a few (My contacts except ...) or whether to share your story only with specific users (Shared only with ...).

If you are using the WhatsApp application on your computer, the first fundamental step you need to take is to open it. If you are using Windows you will find the relative icon on the desktop (or in the Start menu), while if you are using a Mac you will find the WhatsApp app icon in the Launchpad (or in the folder Applications).
And if you are using WhatsApp Web, the first move you need to make is to start the browser you generally use to surf the net and visit the appropriate page by typing web.whatsapp.com in the address bar and then pressing the button Submit on the keyboard (alternatively click directly on the link I just provided).
Now, regardless of whether you are using WhatsApp via a computer application or via the Web, in order to view the stories of others all you have to do is click on the button with the open circle that you find at the top left and that when new stories are available is marked with a special indicator and then press on the name of the anoint whose status you want to view in the sidebar that is always on the left.
Once a given story has started playing, you can stop it momentarily by clicking and continuing to hold down on the WhatsApp window. To go directly to the next content or to go back to the previous one you have to click on the arrows directional left and right.
If you want, you can also permanently stop playing the stories by clicking on "X" top right. If you want to comment on a story, you must use the appropriate field below to type your message. To send it, press the button with thepaper airplane.

To see your history instead, you must always click on the button with the open circle which is at the top left of the application window and then you have to press on the item My status that you always find at the top left.
You can also find out how many users have looked at your status. To do this, just take a look at the number shown next to the symbol of theeye that you find on the right. Easy, right?
See the stories on WhatsApp in secret
As anticipated at the beginning, to conclude on a high note, as they say, I would like to show you how to see the stories on WhatsApp secretly, that is to say by making sure that your name does not appear in the list of a given user of those who have viewed what was posted. To do this, just use a simple trick. Now I'll explain everything. However, keep in mind that the operations that must be carried out to take advantage of the trick are only feasible from mobile, from a computer you can only view the story without being "discovered".
First of all, start WhatsApp on your Android smartphone or iPhone and then proceed as follows depending on the device used.

In addition to disabling the functionality in question, this way, however, makes it impossible to see your name to the person who published the story in case you look at it. Seeing is believing! As mentioned a few lines above, after completing the above steps you can watch the stories of others without being discovered not only by mobile but also by computer, the settings will take effect there too.
Caution: if, after viewing the story of the person of your interest, you enable the use of the blue ticks again, your name will appear in the names of the people who have viewed the latter and, therefore, you will no longer have acted in secret.
