Find the SIM serial number on the card
If you have not been able to trace the serial number of the SIM using your smartphone (or your tablet), you just have to go to the "hard way" and look for the aforementioned code directly on the board.
If the SIM whose serial you want to know is inserted in a smartphone, you must remove the card from the device. Depending on the structure of the device, the operation may require different steps: on terminals with a metal body, such as the most recent top of the range from Apple, Samsung and Huawei, it is necessary to take the metal paper clip supplied with the device and insert it into the forum placed on the SIM slot, exerting a strong enough pressure. If you don't have the metal paper clip handy at the moment, you can use any document clip and fold it.
For devices with a plastic body and removable backcover, however, the procedure to follow is simpler: just remove the rear cover exerting an upward pressure (you should be able to find the point to pry by passing your fingers on the edges of the device you are working on), then you have to remove the battery (if this is removable) and remove the SIM from his housing.
The ICCID code, i.e. the serial number of the SIM you are looking for right now, should be printed on the body of the card, be it a traditional SIM (Mini SIM), a Micro-SIM or a Nano-SIM.
In many cases, even on the laminated card of the SIM, the one in which the card was embedded at the time of purchase or delivery before being inserted into the phone, the ICCID present on the SIM itself is repeated (together with other useful codes, such as PIN and PUK). So, in the event that the ICCID code is unreadable on the SIM, you may be able to recover it as I have just indicated.
