Access the Linkem modem management panel
Enter the Linkem modem it is a simple procedure that takes a few seconds of time. All you need to access the device management panel is any Web browser, the IP address of the modem and the access data that are usually reported in the device manual provided by Linkem.
First, make sure that the modem is turned on and working, then check that your computer is connected to the Linkem network via Ethernet cable or wirelessly. Then start the browser you usually use to surf the Internet, type the address 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and presses the button Submit on your computer keyboard.

If not, all you have to do is find the correct address to access the modem by acting on your computer's network settings.

Alternatively, press the keys Win + R to call up the panel Run, type the command cmd and presses the button Submit on your computer keyboard to open the Command Prompt. Change the Linkem modem settings
After logging into the Linkem modem, you can change the settings of the device by acting on the options of your interest, by accessing one of the sections available on the main screen of the panel.
- Wi-Fi: to manage all the settings relating to the wireless network, such as changing the password and network name, to set up Wi-Fi channels and manage connectivity standards.
- Management: for device management. In this section it is possible to change the access data to the modem, set the language and perform a reset to restore it to the factory status.
- Network: to view the network status, retrieve information such as the IP address of the network, manage the LAN network settings and, above all, to open ports for programs such as eMule, uTorrent, etc. and facilitate data traffic.
- Firewall: to enable or disable the firewall of the device and manage functions such as the DMZ IP address that allows you to enable a segment of the network to and from which traffic is allowed on all ports, without any restrictions.
- Monitoring: to view a series of data in real time, such as the transmission band in reception and transmission (downlink and uplink). In addition, you can initiate a modem diagnosis to check the connection speed and any network problems.
At the first access to the modem, I recommend that you change the password (and possibly the name) of the Wi-Fi network with one that is easier to memorize. Then click on the item Wi-Fi and, on the newly opened page, select the option Settings, then locate the field Key Pass Phrase, delete the content and insert the new one Password.

Another operation that I advise you to do is to change the access credentials to the modem to protect your network from possible changes by malicious people. In fact, you should know that anyone connected to your wireless network could easily access the modem management panel since, as I indicated earlier, all Linkem modems are supplied with the same login credentials and accessible via the 192.168.1.1 address. .XNUMX.
In the main screen of the Linkem modem management panel, click on the box Management and, in section Account, delete guest present in the field Username.
