Preliminary information
Before getting into the tutorial, it seems only right to explain to you in detail what i WhatsApp groups. WhatsApp groups are multi-user chats that allow people to exchange messages and share multimedia content in real time, making them visible to all who are part of it. The maximum limit of people who can be present in a WhatsApp group is set at 256.
Members are divided into two categories: common administrators and users. The former are usually those who created the group and can then manage it, adding and removing people and changing the image, name and description of the group. Administrators can also choose to provide this role to other members. Potentially, everyone in a group can become administrators.

In some cases, they also have the opportunity to change the group name, image and description, but this depends on how the administrators have decided to manage the group. Ordinary users can leave a group whenever they want, but total removal is at the discretion of the administrators. That said, all you have to do is follow the procedures below to find out how to join a group on WhatsApp. They can be followed by all versions of WhatsApp, both from smartphone / tablet (Android and iOS) and version Web / desktop (Windows and macOS) of the service.
How do you join a WhatsApp group
One of the most popular modes for join a WhatsApp group involves simple addition by a friend. This method allows anyone to automatically insert another person and that person will then decide whether or not to leave the group.
In case you want to stay within a group in which you have been added, you do not have to do anything: the message "You have been added”And you can already start conversing with the other group members. If, on the other hand, you have been added by mistake or you don't want to stay, you can follow the instructions in the chapter on how to leave a group on WhatsApp.
How to join a group on WhatsApp with the link
Another procedure that allows you to enter WhatsApp groups is that which involves the use of special ones link. How do you say? You know, would you like to join a group but can't understand how invitation links work? No problem: WhatsApp has made the procedure to take advantage of this method very simple and, by following the instructions below, you can succeed in your intent in no time at all.
If you have received an invitation link, just click on it and select JOIN THE GROUP. In case of problems, you should kindly ask whoever sent you the link to regenerate it through the procedure described in the chapter on how to create a group on WhatsApp. In fact, the links can be revoked and this is probably the reason why you are unable to join the group of your interest.
How to join a WhatsApp group with a QR code
A WhatsApp group can also be quickly accessed by simply framing a special one QR code which, obviously, must have been previously generated and shared by the administrator of the group itself.
The latter, to perform the aforementioned operation on a mobile phone Android, simply enter the chat of the group he created, press the button with i three dots located at the top right, and select the first option Group info from the contextual menu that is proposed to him. On the iPhone, on the other hand, to view this screen, you need to access the group chat and press on theheading located at the top.
Next, you need to tap on the wording Invite via link and, in the next screen, press the item QR code: in this way a new QR code is produced uniquely linked to the group in question, which can be shown directly to the new component to allow immediate access.
Alternatively, the code can be shared also by touching the appropriate icon with i three dots joined by lines located at the top right (or the up arrow in the version for iOS), by subsequently choosing the preferred sending method among those made available in the pop-up panel below.
At this point, understand how to join a WhatsApp group with a QR code it becomes extremely easy. In fact, all you have to do is start WhatsApp on your device, tap on the icon comic at the bottom right, and press the del symbol QR code next to the item New contact: the camera of your smartphone (the app may request authorization to access this function if it has never been used before), and you can frame the code in question, subsequently pressing on the item Join the group but I will complete the operation.
If you have an iPhone, the procedure changes slightly: the functionality in question, in fact, can be reached by pressing the voice Chat in the menu at the bottom, by touching the symbol of pencil located at the top right, and selecting the option New contact in the screen that is shown to you. At the bottom of the next screen, therefore, you will find the wording Add by QR code which, once pressed, will open the camera of your device with which to frame the QR code that has been provided to you.
How to rejoin a WhatsApp group
It could have happened, for various reasons, that you have left a certain WhatsApp group and want to rejoin it. Don't worry: WhatsApp allows you to do this too.
The only way to rejoin a group is to ask to be added again (or to have an invitation sent) to the administrators. After that, you just have to follow, according to your needs, the instructions you find in the chapter on how to join a group on WhatsApp or in the one where I explained how to do it through a link.
How to create a group on WhatsApp
In case you and your friends don't have a WhatsApp group yet, it might be time to create one. Don't worry: doing this is pretty simple and I assure you it won't take you too long. You just have to follow the directions you find below.
It was used Android, start WhatsApp, select the tab Chat, tap on three vertical dots at the top right and select the item New group from the menu that opens. If you use iPhoneinstead, select the tab Chat and presses on the voice New group located at the top right. Then choose the group participants by pressing on them name and tapping on the green button at the bottom right (on Android) or on the item NEXT (iOS) once finished. Next, write the group name in the space provided at the top of the screen that will appear. You can also change the distinctive image of the group by pressing on thecamera icon and selecting the content you want. You just have to press on green button on the right (on Android) or on the button Crea (iPhone) to officially create the group.
Perfect: now the people you have added will be notified and you can start conversing within the group. I remind you that the chat of the latter is different from a private one, as all members can read what is written. To invite other people to an already created group, all you have to do is start WhatsApp and enter the chat of the group by pressing on the name of the latter. After that, tap on the again group name present in the top bar, scroll the page and select Add attendees. Now you just have to select the people you want to add and, once finished, press on green button present at the bottom right (on Android) or on the button Add located at the top right (on iPhone).
In case you want, instead, to invite a person through a link, you have to enter the chat of the group, press on the name of the latter in the top bar and tap on the writing Invite via link. After that, you just have to share the link that you find in the screen that appears with the people you would like to join the group.
How not to join a WhatsApp group
How do you say? Did your number end up in the hands of people you don't know and they are continuing to add you to WhatsApp groups you don't want to join? No problem - there is a way to avoid being added to a group.
It is not currently possible to block a group directly, but you can put an end to the unpleasant situation blocking the person who continues to invite you. However, this will no longer allow you to write or call that person, unless you decide to unblock them. Therefore, I invite you to think carefully before carrying out this action.
In case you still want to proceed, you have to open the group chat, tap on the name of the latter, scroll the list of members and tap on the name or phone number of the administrator of the group. Then, in case you are asked, select the writing Message / Send Message and the private chat with the administrator will appear on the screen.
Now you just have to tap on the telephone number or name present in the bar at the top and press above the writing Block / Block contact and then again on Block. In case that group has multiple administrators, you must perform this procedure for all of them. Once this is done, you can leave the group and you will no longer be invited. How to leave a group on WhatsApp
Life is constantly changing and therefore you may want to leave a WhatsApp group you no longer want to be in. Don't worry: getting out of a group is very simple and you just have to take a few minutes of free time to reach your goal.
First, start WhatsApp and enter the group chat by tapping on its name. After that, tap on group name present in the bar at the top, scroll the page and select the writing Leave group. Now, tap in succession on Leave / Leave group, Delete group ed Delete (check the box Delete media from phone to also remove images that were sent to the group).
Perfect, now you will have nothing more to do with the group you left. Other members may continue to use it, but you won't see anything anymore. Seen? I told you it wasn't difficult.
