Now let's see how to block a number on WhatsApp for iPhone. Also in this case - as well as on Android - there are two possible ways to go.
The first is to go to the card Contact info to block the desired person. To do this, first open the WhatsApp application and, from the home screen of the application, tap on name of the person to be blocked to open their conversation.
At this point, tap his name in the menu bar at the top and scroll down until you find the item Block contact.
By tapping on the item Block Contact in fact, a small drop-down menu will open with two items: Block e Report as Spam and Block. The first option will allow you, in the traditional way, to block the user to stop receiving his messages; the voice Report spam and block it is to be used as a last resort, in case you encounter a user who continuously sends unwanted messages on WhatsApp.
If you change your mind, once you've blocked a contact on WhatsApp, you can unblock it just as easily. When a user is blocked on WhatApp, in the tab Contact Info of WhatsApp the writing will appear Unlock, instead of Block. By tapping on it you can unlock the previously blocked contact.
The second procedure, on the other hand, requires you to go to the card first Settings (at the bottom right of the WhatsApp home screen you will find the icon with the gear symbol) and then in the menu Account> Privacy> Blocked. Here is a button, Add, which, if pressed, allows you to select a contact and block it.
In case you change your mind, no problem, you can unblock a contact by returning to the menu Settings> Accounts> Privacy> Blocked of the application, swiping your finger from right to left on the name to be “reactivated” and pressing the button Unlock that appears from the side.
Do you want to disable notifications for a WhatsApp contact without blocking it? This can also be done. Go to the tab Chat of WhatsApp and presses on the chat relating to the name of the person to be "silenced".
At this point, tap on its name from the menu bar at the top to go back to the tab Contact info. Now scroll until you find the option silent from the screen that opens and, by tapping on it, choose whether or not to receive notifications for 8 hours, 1 weeks o Everlasting. In case of second thoughts, press again on the voice silent present in the contact card that you had "silenced" earlier and select the item Unmute Volume from the box that appears.
Block a number on WhatsApp for Windows Phone
You have a Widows Phone smartphone and would like to know how to block a number on WhatsApp? No problem, I can explain it to you in no time. You will see that, if you follow my instructions to the letter, you will be able to stop this annoying nuisance in no time at all.
To block a number on WhatsApp, using a Windows Phone device, go to the main application screen as usual. Now you just have to tap on his name from the bar at the top of the screen you see and you can go back to the contact information tab. Now scroll down until you find the option silent.
