The successive confinements have shaken up habits and allowed the Spaniards to find their way back to the stoves. Many have regained a taste for homemade, some not hesitating to improvise as bakers. A trend that clearly has not escaped KitchenAid. The kitchen equipment specialist intends to launch a bread bowl at the start of the 2021 school year to accompany its 4,3 and 4,8 l tilt-head pastry robots. Understand, the KitchenAid Classic and the intermediate model of the Artisan range. On the other hand, the Artisan 3,3 l and 6,9 l cannot accommodate this accessory, nor the devices of the Heavy Duty series without a tilting head.

From kneading to baking
This accessory accompanies all stages of bread making. It is possible to use it to mix the ingredients and knead the dough using the robot, but also for proofing and even cooking. KitchenAid opted for ceramic, thus authorizing it to go into the oven, and added a lid that can serve as a cooking support. Turned over and placed like a bell on its lid, the bowl retains the steam and thus contributes to the development of the crust and the softness of the crumb. A casserole nevertheless does the same thing, and nothing prevents baking bread without a mold or a lid.

Far from being essential for making bread, this bowl, with a capacity of 4,8 l, will also be used for other preparations. Difficult, however, to recommend it given the recommended retail price: 150 €. It should be available next fall.
