In light of the above, to apply the dark theme to WhatsApp it is therefore not necessary to go to act directly on the application settings, but on those of the entire operating system, as, after doing this, the dark theme will be set in automatic mode.
How to put black WhatsApp on the iPhone
Having made the necessary clarifications above, let's get to the heart of the matter and let's find out, therefore, how to put the dark theme on WhatsApp for iPhone. You will find everything explained in detail below.
Before proceeding, however, verify that your iPhone is updated to at least iOS 13 and that the latest WhatsApp release. If you don't know how to do this, you can refer to the instructions contained in my specific guides on how to update iPhone and how to update WhatsApp.
IOS Settings
To enable the dark theme on iOS and therefore to have black WhatsApp on iPhone, you must first take your device, unlock it, access the home screen and select the icon of the Settings (Quella a forma di ruota d'ingranaggio). Nothing could be simpler: take your iPhone, call up the Control Center, swiping from the top right corner of the screen to the bottom (on iPhone X and later) or by swiping from the bottom to the top of the display (on iPhone 8 / SE or earlier) and tap the button Dark mode (the one with the half white and half black circle).
After completing the above steps, the dark theme will immediately be applied to your iPhone and, therefore, going to open WhatsApp you can also enjoy it there.
If the button to enable dark mode is not visible in the Control Center, it is evidently because you have to add it first, acting from the iOS settings. To do this, click on the icon of Settings (Quella a forma di ruota d'ingranaggio) on the home screen, select the item Control Center from the next screen and then tap on the item Customize controls.
At this point, locate the control Dark mode list Further checks which is shown to you by scrolling the screen and tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead placed in its correspondence, in order to add it to the list Include above and then to the Control Center.
