IrfanView (Windows)
IrfanView is not a converter in the strict sense of the term. Rather, it is a very light, practical and easy to use image viewer that includes some functions to process photos in series. I recommend that you rely on him for convert PNG to JPG under Windows.
You can download IrfanView on your PC simply by connecting to its official website and clicking on the item first Download (in the left sidebar) and then on the item FossHub - download IrfanView. Once the download is complete, open the IrfanView installation package (iviewxx_setup.exe) and complete the setup by first clicking on Yes and then NEXT quattro come back consecutive and Done.

Preview (Mac)
Do you use a Mac? So if you want some advice don't waste time looking for an app for transform PNG to JPG but rely on Preview, the software included by default in macOS which - among its many functions - also allows you to export series of photos in various file formats.
To find out how to use Preview as a converter, open any of the images you intend to transform into JPG, then select the item Miniature from the menu Vista and drag the rest of the photos to convert to the bar that appeared on the left.
At this point, click on any of the thumbnails in the preview sidebar and press the key combination cmd + a on your Mac keyboard to select them all. Finally, right click on any of the selected thumbnails and choose the item Export as give the menu to compare.
In the window that opens, set the option JPEG in the drop-down menu Size, vary (if you want) the quality of the output images using the appropriate adjustment bar, choose the folder in which to export the files after conversion and click on Choose to finish the job.
XnView MP (Windows / Mac / Linux)
XnView MP is an excellent free image viewer that allows you to process images in batches, ie in series. It is compatible with all major computer operating systems (Windows, macOS and Linux) and can be used at no cost in all situations that do not involve business and / or profit purposes. To download it to your computer, connect to its official website and click on the button Win 64bit setup o Win 32bit setup if you use a Windows PC with a 64-bit or 32-bit operating system or on the button 64-bit OSX if you use a Mac.
Once the download is complete, if you are using a Windows PC, open the XnView MP installation package (eg. XnViewMP-win-x64.exe) and click on the buttons Yes, OK e NEXT; then put the check mark next to the item I accept the terms of the license agreement and complete the setup by clicking on first NEXT for four consecutive times and then on Install e end.
If you are using a Mac, to install XnView MP on your computer, you need to open the archive tgz that contains the program and copy it into the folder Applications of macOS. At the first start of XnView MP, to bypass the macOS restrictions relating to applications from non-Apple certified developers, you will need to right-click on the program icon and select the item apri give the menu to compare.
At this point, the procedure to follow is the same on all operating systems. Then start XnView MP and select the item Convert series from the menu Instruments which is located at the top. In the window that opens, select the tab Origin and drag all the images you want to convert to JPG into it (or click on the buttons Add files e Add folder to select them "manually").
Next, go to the tab Destination, select the voice JPG - JPEG / JFIF give menu to tendin Size and click on the button Settings to adjust the quality settings of the output files. After this step too, select the folder in which to save the converted images using the field Destination and click on the button Converted to start converting photos.
Photoshop (Windows / Mac)
Maybe not everyone knows, but you can batch convert PNG to JPG with Photoshop, the famous Adobe photo editing software.
If you have Photoshop installed on your computer and you want to use it to convert PNG files to JPG, go to the menu Fillet located at the top left and selects the items Script> Image Processor from the latter. In the window that opens, click on the button Select folder lying in the field 1 to select the folder where the PNG files to be transformed into JPG are located (all the images in the folder will be converted); select one of the options available in the field 2 to choose the folder in which to save the output files and put the check mark next to the item Save as JPEG.
At this point, set the level of quality you want for the output files in the appropriate text field, make sure the option Take action at the bottom of the window is deselected and click on the button Run (top right) to start converting images.
PNG to JPG (Online)
If you don't need to convert lots of images and you don't feel like installing new software on your PC, you can think about turning to online solutions as well. One of these is called PNG to JPG and allows you to convert PNG to JPG directly from the browser. It does not require registration and can be used for a maximum number of 20 files at a time for a total weight of 50MB.
To convert PNG images to JPG using PNG to JPG, connect to the home page of the service and drag the images to convert into the browser window (or use the button Upload files to select them "manually"). When the operation is completed, wait for the file upload to be completed, press the button Download everything and the images in JPG format will be automatically downloaded to your computer.
CloudConvert (Online)
Another online solution that you can rely on is CloudConvert: it is a universal converter that allows you to convert between them a wide range of images, documents, compressed archives and many other types of files. It works without using any external plugin (eg Flash Player or Java) but has an upload limit of 10 simultaneous conversions per day and 1GB of weight.
To convert your photos with CloudConvert, connected to the home page of the service, click on the button Select files and select the PNG files to convert to JPG (or simply drag and drop the images into the browser window). Next, click on the button Start conversion, wait for the site to complete its task and download the final photos by clicking on the button Download that appears next to their name.
Please note: online solutions such as PNG to JPG and CloudConvert protect the privacy of users by deleting all the files that are uploaded to their servers a few hours after the upload, however I do not recommend using them to convert images that may contain sensitive data (this is not valid only for the services in question but for all services over which we cannot have direct control).
