How the price table works

On the occasion of Black Friday, the Bosch Tassimo Vivy 2 is €24,99 at Amazon (black and white); a great opportunity to treat yourself to this capsule machine for the holidays.

Weighing 2,4 kg in total, it is light enough to be installed on a shelf without problem. It has a water tank of 0,7 l to ensure the preparation of approximately 14 short coffees. The machine delivers a pressure of 3,3 bars, which will not be enough to satisfy lovers of tight espressos.

Quite fast, it needs 22 s for preheating and 38 s more to extract a long coffee (110 ml) – note that this time varies depending on the drink selected.

We regret a little its energy consumption during preheating – the most energy-consuming step in the extraction of a coffee. Indeed, we noted a zenith at 1430 W whereas as a general rule, the machines display around 1300 W for this exercise. We also note that the Bosch Tassimo Vivy 2 consumes a little energy at rest (0,4 W which is still not excessive).

Finally, with it, there is little chance of waking up the whole family, because its sound volume does not exceed 50 dB(A). By way of comparison, the sound volume of a "normal" conversation is around 60 dB(A).
