All conversations will be saved online to your iCloud account (Apple's cloud storage service with free storage with 5GB of space, expandable for a fee from € 0,99 / month).
Eventually later, to restore the WhatsApp chats, reinstall the app on an iPhone connected to the same Apple ID and the same number as the current iPhone and, when the application is started, press the button Restore.
