Are you interested in understanding how to search for Facebook because you need to find a specific person registered on the social network? Then all you have to do is position yourself in front of your computer, start the Web browser that you generally use to surf the net, go to the main page of the social network, connect with your account, type the name of the person to find in the search bar located at the top and click on one of the names that appear below it.
If the person you are looking for is not listed among the suggestions that appeared under the search bar as you type, click on the item Find more matches for [typed name] placed at the bottom then select the item People on the left side of the new webpage that is shown to you and manually scroll through the search results to find the right user.
If necessary, you can also use the filters that you find at the top of the page with the search results in order to display only people with certain mutual friends, those from specific places or those referring to a given school, university or company.
Once you have found the person of your interest, click on their name to access their Facebook profile and, if you want to add them as a friend (obviously if you haven't already!) Click on the button add to friends that you find at the top, in correspondence with the space dedicated to the cover image. Upon request, all you have to do is wait for the person contacted to accept your friendship and you will be ready to (re) establish relations with them.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding what you need to do to search for people on Facebook by acting as a smartphone or tablet, the first step you need to take is to grab your mobile device, access the screen of the same where all the apps are grouped, press on 'icon of the social network application, press the search field that is located at the top of the screen you are viewing and type the name and surname of the person you wish to find. Then tap on one of the names that appear in the search results screen.
If the person you are looking for is not indicated in the suggestions attached to the search results screen, tap on the item See other results placed at the bottom. Then presses on the card People and manually scroll through the search results screen to find the right friend.
Once you have found the right person, tap on their name to access their Facebook profile and then if you want to add them as a friend (if you haven't done so yet) press the button add to friends that you find under the cover image.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding how to search for Facebook because you want to find one or more posts written by you or your friends on the social network, I would like to point out that the easiest way to do this is to use the hashtag. Aren't you what I'm talking about? No problem, I'll "enlighten" you right away. Hashtags are nothing more than "labels" used to classify posts, photos and other content published on the social network concerning a specific topic. For example, if you want to publish a post in which you talk about a film and insert the hashtag in it #titolofilm, you will allow others to easily find your message (as long as it has been posted at the “public” privacy level) and to understand that you are talking about that movie.
Having clarified this, let's see how to use hashtags to search for posts on Facebook. The first step you need to take to search for a public post on Facebook using hashtags (as in the case of a movie title, the name of a famous person, the name of an event, and so on) is to type in the search bar located in the top of the Facebook Web page the hashtag of your interest preceded by the symbol #. For example, if you want to search for all public posts where "configurehow" is mentioned and where a specific hashtag is used, you have to search #configurehow (hashtags do not include spaces between words) and enter to view the search results.
The search results will be divided into Posts from friends and groups e Public posts, then you can quickly identify the posts published by your contacts and those of people you do not know (or in any case are not part of your friends on the social network).
What I have just indicated is undoubtedly the most convenient way to search for posts on Facebook. Do you use Facebook mostly from smartphones and tablets and would like to understand how to search for posts using hashtags? No problem, you can do that too. The first thing you need to do is to type in the search bar located at the top of the social network app on your device the hashtag of your interest preceded by the symbol #. Then press the key to start the search attached to the on-screen keyboard that is shown to you.
Once this is done, you will be shown all the search results related to the previously typed hashtag. As well as from a computer, the results will be divided into Posts from friends and groups e Public posts then you can instantly identify the posts published by your contacts and those of people who are not part of your friends on the social network. Very easy, don't you think?
Search for pages, places, groups, apps and events

To conclude, I want to explain how to search for Facebook in the case of pages, places, groups, apps and even events. Also in this case all you have to do is simply use the search bar that you find at the top of the social network.
So, regardless of what you intend to find on Facebook, type the reference search term in the bar located at the top of the social network and then if what you are looking for is indicated in the search suggestions click on it otherwise select the item Find more results for [typed keyword] present at the bottom of the menu that is shown to you.
In the new web page displayed you will find all the fan pages, places, groups, apps and main events related to the previously entered keyword. At this point, there is nothing left to do but scroll down the results page until you find what you are interested in and click on it to get all the details of the case.
Obviously, you can filter the display of the various elements in order to find what interests you more quickly. To do this, click on one of the reference categories (Pages, Places, Groups, App ed Events) that you find in correspondence with the section Type of result located on the left.
