Search for high resolution images on Google from your computer
If you want search for high resolution images on Google acting as a computer, you must make use of the well-known search engine, which can be used in the same way by both Windows and Mac computers, using any of the most popular Internet browsers, such as Google Chrome.
Then start the browser of your choice and connect to www.google.com (if the official website of the well-known search engine has not already been set as the home page). Then, in the text field you see in the center, type the search term for which you want to search for one or more high-resolution images and press the button Submit on your computer keyboard, to confirm the search.
To speed up this step, type the term directly into the address bar above, if the default search engine in your browser is Google. Using the browser Google Chrome, you can also start a voice search by pressing themicrophone icon located in correspondence with the text field dedicated to the search.
Either way, after typing or saying your search term, click on the tab Images which is located at the top, in order to see the results relating to the images. At this point, to find only the high-resolution photos, click on the item Instruments and select the wording Sizes in the menu below. Then put the check mark next to the voice Great, Averages o Icons, depending on the size of the images you want to find.
After identifying the image of your interest, if you want to save it, press on it to see it at a larger size, then right-click and press on the item Save image as present in the context menu. Search high-resolution images on Google from smartphones and tablets
Searching for high-resolution images on Google, acting as a smartphone and tablet is just as simple and immediate.
Again, you will need a browser to browse the Internet: I recommend Google Chrome, the Google browser available for free on Android and iOS, or Safari for iOS. Alternatively, you can use the app Google, also free for Android and iOS.
Regardless of the app used, now connect to the Google home page (if this is not already set as the home page), then, in the search engine you see in the center, type the term you are interested in, or press microphone icon to start a voice search, by saying the term for which you want to find high resolution images (option available only in Chrome and in the Google app). To confirm the search, press the button Search on the keyboard of your device or tap onicon of the lens of ingrandimento.
Once this is done, you will be shown the main results: press on the card Images to see all the multimedia contents, then presses on the voice HD. This way, only high resolution images will be shown to you.
After finding the image of your interest, if you want to download it on your device, press on it, hold your finger and press on the item Download Image (Android) or Save immagine (iOS) present in the menu that is shown to you.
Search for high resolution images using image search
Google Images it also allows you to make one search by images to find photos similar to those on your computer or those already on the Internet. The service can be used from a computer and also from smartphones and tablets.
To use it from a computer, connect to its official website, then press on theicona della macchina photography and select the scheda Upload an image. Then press the button Choose file, if you want to upload an image from your computer and search for similar high resolution ones. Alternatively, select the tab Paste Image URL and type, in the text field that is shown to you, the link of the image for which you want to obtain similar ones. Then press the button Search by image. Either way, you will be shown all matching results in all resolutions, including the highest ones.
From smartphones and tablets, to search by images, you need to use the browser Google Chrome per Android e iOS: then follow the standard procedure for searching for an image on Google and, after identifying the one you are interested in, make a long tap on it. Now, select the wording Search for this image on Google in the menu that is shown to you, in order to locate other similar images.
In case of doubts or problems, also regarding the download of the image, follow the instructions I gave you in the previous chapter of this tutorial, as the procedure is the same.
Search for high resolution images with advanced image search
Another tool dedicated to searching for images on Google is the advanced image search. This tool, which can be used in the same way both from computers and from smartphones and tablets, allows you to search for images through the combined use of various advanced filters, including the size of the same.
To use it, connect to its official website and use the text fields located in the section Find pictures of, to find images starting from the search with some keywords (all these words, this exact word or phrase, none of these words). Next, set a filter on the search results, referencing the entries in correspondence with Then limit results by.
In particular, if you want to create high resolution images, you have to use the drop-down menu Image size and set the item Great larger than 1024 × 768, or larger than 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 15, 20, 40 o 70 megapixel. Finally, to confirm the search according to the filters set, see the results and possibly download the image according to the procedures indicated above, press the button Advanced Search.
