How to search for a word in a Word text
want search for a word in a Word text? Whether you want to work from the desktop version of Microsoft's famous word processor or from its mobile version, know that succeeding in this operation is as simple as drinking a glass of water.
If you are using the version of Word for Windows, after starting the program and opening the document of your interest, click on the tab Home at the top left, click on the button Find ▾ collocato in alto a destra and seleziona la voce Find from the opened menu. Now you simply have to search for the desired word using the Campo di Ricerca placed on the left, so as to identify it within the document.
If you use the version of Word for MacOSInstead, you can find a word by simply searching for it using the text field Search in the document ... located at the top right.
If you use the mobile devices Word for Android or iOS / iPadOS, after opening the document of your interest, press the icon of magnifying glass located at the top of the screen, type the word you want to identify in the text, using the Campo di Ricerca that appears, and that's it.

How to search for a word in Pages text
If you have one Mac, an iPhone or iPad, you may be interested in knowing how to search for a word in Pages text (the famous word processing application from Apple). To do this, open the Pages document of your interest and follow the instructions below.
- Your mac - open the menu Modification, select the items Close> Close ... or, if you prefer, press directly cmd + f on the keyboard. At this point, you just have to make use of the Campo di Ricerca present in the box Find and replace appeared on the screen to locate the word of your interest in the document.
- Your iPhone / iPad - presses the button (...) at the top right, select the item Find open on the menu and make use of the Campo di Ricerca appeared on the screen to search for the word of your interest in the document.

Let's see now how to search for a word in text on the Internet taking advantage of some functions integrated in the main web browsers.

Alternatively, press the keys at the same time Ctrl + F (your Windows) or cmd + f (on macOS) on the keyboard. From mobile devicesinstead, start Chrome on your Android / iOS / iPadOS device and, after going to the page of your interest, press the button (⋮) at the top right (on Android) or on the button (...) located at the bottom right (on iOS / iPadOS); tap on the item Find on page opened and served on the menu Campo di Ricerca that appears at the top right to find the word you were looking for.
- Su Edge - after starting Edge on the computer and having gone to the page of your interest, click on the button (...) at the top right and select the item Find on page in the opened menu. Alternatively, use the key combination Ctrl + F (your Windows) or cmd + f (on macOS). Then type the word of your interest in the Campo di Ricerca appeared at the top right to see where in the text it is present. From mobile devices, start Edge on Android / iOS / iPadOS and, after going to the page of your interest, tap the button (...) placed at the bottom, scroll the open menu and select the item Find on page. You just have to type in Campo di Ricerca place the word you want to identify at the top and that's it.
- Your Firefox - after starting the Mozilla browser on your computer and having gone to the page of your interest, click on the button (≡) collocato in alto a destra and seleziona la voce Find on this page in the menu that is shown to you. Alternatively, you can press the key combination Ctrl + F (your Windows) or cmd + f (on macOS). Through Campo di Ricerca that appears at the bottom left, you can search for the word of your interest. From mobile devicesinstead, start Firefox on your Android / iOS / iPadOS device, press the button (⋮) at the top right (on Android) or on the button (...) located at the top right (on iOS / iPadOS), select the wording Find on page present in the menu that has opened and search for the word of your interest on the page, using the Campo di Ricerca special.
- On Safari - after opening Safari on your Mac and having gone to the web page of your interest, open the menu Modification, select the items Close> Close ... or, if you prefer, press cmd + f on the keyboard. At this point, you just have to make use of the Campo di Ricerca appeared at the top right to identify the word of your interest on the page. Up iPhone e iPad, on the other hand, after opening Safari and going to the web page of your interest, tap the button Share (l'icona della arrow inside the square) located at the bottom (on iPhone) or top right (on iPad), select the item Find on page open on the menu and make use of the Campo di Ricerca appeared on the keyboard to locate the word you want to find

How to search for a word in a PDF text
If you want search for a word in a PDF text, know that the instructions to follow vary depending on the PDF reader in use. I'll give you a couple of practical examples.
On the desktop version di Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is one of the most used in both desktop and mobile, for example, you can do it by going to the menu Edit> Find and making use of the Campo di Ricerca present in the box that appeared on the screen.
On the mobile version by Adobe Acrobat Reader, available for Android / iOS / iPadOS, you can call up the function in question by pressing the icon of magnifying glass and type the word of your interest in the Campo di Ricerca that opens.
Su Preview, the PDF reader included “standard” on Mac, however, it is possible to do so by clicking on the Campo di Ricerca at the top right and typing the word to be identified in the text of the open document.
Furthermore, on the vast majority of PDF readers, it is possible to invoke the "Find" or "Search" function using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + F (your Windows) or cmd + f, so I invite you to use these to quickly locate the feature in question.
How to search for a word in text on Android and iPhone
You want to search for a word in a text on Android e iPhone? Well, since in the previous lines I have given you instructions to be able to do this, you can use them to be able to complete the operation.
In general, just call up the appropriate function from the menu of the app in use, by pressing the icon with i three dots or horizontal lines.
Shortcuts to search for a word in a text
