Preliminary information
Prima di entrare nel vivo di questo tutorial and spiegarti nel dettaglio how to hide WhatsApp conversations, let me give you some preliminary information in this regard.
You should know, in fact, that the famous messaging application owned by Facebook does not have a feature to hide their chats. However, through the option Archive, allows you to remove the conversations of your interest from the main screen, making them effectively "invisible".
The chats, single and group, archived are moved to a special section of the application, named precisely Archived chats, which can be accessed through a procedure that I will describe later. Note, however, that archived chats are automatically restored whenever a new message is posted to them by any of the participants.
That said, if you think this is a valid solution to hide your chats, you should know that it is possible to archive a conversation both through the WhatsApp app for Android and iPhone devices and from a PC, using the service client for Windows and macOS or WhatsApp Web (the version of the popular instant messaging service that works directly from the browser). Find everything explained in detail below.
How to hide WhatsApp conversations: Android
hide WhatsApp conversations on Android, all you have to do is access the section Chat of the famous messaging application, select the conversazione of your interest and click on the option to archive it.
To proceed, then take your device, start WhatsApp and select the scheda Chat. Now, do a long tap on the conversazione you want to archive and press the icon of freccia rivolta verse il basso pop-up at the top right, to archive it.

To view discussions you have archived, swipe the screen Chat down and press on the item Archived, which appears on the screen.

How to hide WhatsApp conversations: iPhone
Also the procedure for hide WhatsApp conversations on iPhone it's pretty simple. As I explained to you in the lines dedicated to the procedure for archiving chats on Android, even in this case it is sufficient to select the option Archive relating to threads to hide.
After starting the WhatsApp on your iPhone, then access the section Chat, do one swipe to the left on the conversation you want to hide and click on the option Archive that appears from the side. Alternatively, do a long tap on the chat of your interest and select the item Archive give the menu check if you press.
To hide multiple conversations at the same time, press the button Modification, at the top left, put the check mark next to all chat you want to archive and tap on the option Archive, located in the bottom menu. If, on the other hand, you want to archive all the chats, access the section Settings, tap on the item Chat and choose your options Archive all chats e Archive all.
To view all hidden conversations, do one swipe down from the top of the screen Chat and press on the item Archived chats pop-up on the screen. If you have second thoughts, swipe left on the conversation you are interested in and press the button Extract, to restore the chat.

How to hide WhatsApp conversations from a computer
The procedure for hide WhatsApp conversations from computer it is identical both using the service client for Windows and macOS and proceeding from WhatsApp Web, the browser version of the popular instant messaging service.
In both cases, to archive a conversation, pause with the mouse pointer on the chat of your interest, click on the icon of the freccia rivolta verse il basso e seleziona l'opzione Archive chat from the menu that opens. Alternatively, right-click on the conversation you want to archive and press on the entry Archive chat. If, on the other hand, you want to archive multiple chats at the same time or want to hide all your conversations, I'm sorry to tell you that it is not possible to do this from a computer.

In case you want to retrace your steps and show a conversation again on the screen Chat of WhatsApp, locate the chat of your interest among those archived, press on the relative icon of the freccia rivolta verse il basso (or right click on it) and select the option Estrai chat dall'archivio. Semplice, see?
Other solutions to hide WhatsApp conversations
If you believe that archiving chats on WhatsApp is not an adequate solution to hide your conversations, you can activate the function that allows you to unlock WhatsApp via fingerprint or facial recognition. This is certainly a more drastic solution than the previous one but, by activating it, you will have the certainty that no one can view your chats.
To block WhatsApp in this way, take your device, start the app of the famous messaging platform, tap on the icon of three dots located at the top right and select the option Settings from the menu that opens (if you use WhatsApp on iPhone, press directly on the item Settings located in the menu below).
In the new screen that appears, tap on the option Account, select the voice Privacy e premi sull'opzione Blocco with digital imprint/Screen lock. At this point, move the lever next to the item Sblocca with digital imprint (on iPhone it is Richiedi il Face ID / Richiedi il Touch ID) Of the OFF a ON and select one of the available options from Immediately, Dopo 1 minute, After 15 minutes e Dopo 1 hour, to indicate the length of time after which the app should automatically block.
