Convert AZW to ePub with Caliber
As I mentioned at the beginning of the guide, caliber is an excellent program for managing e-books. Free and open source, it allows you to convert all major eBook formats to ePub, view books on your computer and easily transfer them to eBook readers of all brands. It is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. Therefore, it represents the best software resource available on the market to perform the operation covered by this tutorial. Let's find out now how to use it.
Transfer eBooks to your computer
If you have already transferred the eBooks on which you intend to work on your computer, you can go directly to reading the next step. If, on the other hand, you have not yet transferred the books you purchased on the Kindle Store to your computer, you can use the official application Kindle, which is available for both Windows and macOS (as well as for mobile devices), which allows you to read and manage the collection of eBooks linked to your Amazon account.
To use it, connect to the section of the Amazon website dedicated to the application and click on the button Download for PC and Mac, to download it to your computer. When the download is complete, if you are using Windows, april il .exe file obtained and, once the main window of the program is displayed, fill in the fields on the screen with the data relating to your Amazon account to log in to it.

Next, right-click on it and select the entry apri from the menu that appears, so as to start the application, however, going around the limitations of Apple towards applications from non-certified developers (an operation that must be carried out only at the first start). When you then see the program window appear on the screen, fill in the fields displayed with the data relating to your Amazon account in order to access the latter.
Then wait a moment until the program library will automatically fill with all the books you've purchased or downloaded for free on your Kindle. Then right click on the ones you intend to turn into ePub and choose the option Download from the menu that opens, so that the AZW files related to them are downloaded to your computer. By default, the locations where books are saved are as follows.

Now you just have to download, install and start Caliber, import the AZW files of the eBooks you just retrieved from the Kindle application into it and convert them following the appropriate procedure. You will find everything explained in detail in the following lines.
Convert eBooks
If the AZW files you want to work on are already on your computer or if you have just transferred them following the instructions on what to do that I gave you in the previous step, there is nothing left to do but download and use caliber. To do this, connect to its official website and first click on operating system logo that you use on your computer (eg pennant of Windows or la apple macOS) and, later, on the voice Download Caliber.
Once the download is complete, if you use Windows, start the .exe file obtained, then put the check mark next to the item I accept the terms in the License Agreement and complete the setup by clicking on the button first install and then on the buttons Yes e Finish.
It was used MacOSinstead, you have to open the package .dmg which contains Caliber and drag thesoftware icon in the folder Applications Mac. Next, right-click on it and select the entry apri from the menu that appears, in such a way as to start the program, however, going around the restrictions that Apple imposes on applications from non-certified developers (operation necessary only at the first start).
Now that, regardless of the OS used, you see the Caliber window on the screen, follow the very short setup wizard of the program to choose the interface language (it should be automatically set to cittàn), the folder in which to save the eBook is the type of eBook reader to transfer the books to.
At the end of the wizard, click on the button Add books located at the top left and select the eBooks in AZW to import into the library. Then wait for the upload to finish and select all the works to convert by clicking on their titles while holding the button Ctrl on the PC keyboard, or the key cmd your Mac.
At this point, click on the button Convert books (located at the top), select the option EPUB from the drop-down menu located at the top right of the window that opens and click on the button OK (below) to start converting files.
At the end of the conversion (whose duration depends on the number of eBooks to be processed and their length), you can view the ePub files obtained with Caliber by selecting their titles from the program library and accessing the menu Formats> EPUB using the left sidebar. If, on the other hand, you want to access the folder in which they were saved, right-click on the title of the eBook of your interest and select the item Open the containing folder give the menu check if you press.
Online services to convert AZW to ePub

The first of the online resources useful for the purpose that I invite you to consider is Zamzar: it is a fairly well-known and appreciated converter usable via the Web that allows you to intervene on various types of files, including those covered by this guide, completely free of charge and without having to make any registration. It is quite intuitive and the files uploaded to the service are deleted within a few hours.
To use it, first connect to the Zamzar home page, then click the button Choose files and select the AZW format files on your computer that you want to convert to ePub. Alternatively, directly drag and drop files into the browser window. And if the eBooks you want to convert are found online, you can upload them directly from there by selecting the tab URL Conveter and indicating the reference link in the appropriate field.
Successively select the voice epub give menu to tendin Choose format to convert to and, finally, click on the button Convert, so as to start the file transformation process. After conversion, you can download the files by clicking on the button Download that you find next to its name on the web page that will be shown to you. The returned ePub files will be automatically saved in the folder Download computer (if you have not changed the default settings of the browser in use).
If you want, you can also choose to receive the transformed files via email. To do this, before starting the conversion, check the box next to the item Email when done and type your e-mail address in the appropriate field that you see appear.
Convertio
As an alternative to the online service already mentioned, I invite you to try Convertio: it is another renowned online converter without registration that is characterized by its simple user interface and its highly intuitive operation. It allows you to upload files with a maximum weight of 100 MB and it's free (basic, otherwise you can subscribe to a paid plan starting at $ 7,99 to get extra features).
To use it, connect to the service's website and click on the button From a computer to select the AZW files saved on your computer that you want to convert to ePub. Alternatively, drag and drop the eBooks you want to convert directly into the browser window. Then if your file is online, select the icon of dropbox or that of Google Drive, to upload it from one of the cloud storage services just mentioned, or click on the chain, to upload the file from the Web by providing the relative link.
Select, therefore, from the drop-down menu on the right before the item EBook and then that EPUB, pig sul sul bottone Converted located at the bottom and wait for the files to be uploaded to the service and that the transformation process server is started and completed.
To conclude, click on the button Download that you find under the name of each eBook to save them on your computer, in the folder Download (if you have not changed the default browser settings). Alternatively, you can save the files to your Dropbox account or to Google Drive by clicking on the relevant ones buttons that you find at the bottom of the page before starting the conversion procedure.
EPUB Converter
Another Web tool that in my opinion you'd do well to consider to convert AZW files in ePub is EPUB Converter: it is a site that offers various useful tools to convert all the most common formats of eBooks and digital documents, including, of course, those in question. It is totally free, requires no registration and is very intuitive. In short, it is difficult to ask for better.
To use it, connected to its home page, click on the button Add File, Select the AZW files located on your computer and on which you want to go to work and off the upload process by clicking on the button Start Upload.
Next, click on the links that are under the heading Download Link (right) and the files converted to ePub will be downloaded to your computer immediately. Again, if you have not made any changes to the default browser settings the file will be saved in the folder Download from the PC or Mac.
