How to access RaiPlay without registration
Before I tell you the walkthrough for access RaiPlay using the credentials associated with your account, it might be useful to know that it is also possible to use RaiPlay without registration.
If you do not have an account and you do not intend to create one, you will be happy to know that you can still access the live view of all the Rai channels available, such as Rai1, Rai2, Rai3, Rai4, Rai gulp, Rai History, Rai Premium, Rai Sport, Rai News 24 etc. Furthermore, you can also consult the TV guide but you are not allowed to access the contents broadcast in the last 7 days and the catalog of films, TV series, programs and content for children available in the RaiPlay on-demand catalog.
All you have to do to use RaiPlay without registering is to connect to the official website of the service or start the RaiPlay app for Android and iOS devices, access the section TV channels and choose the option direct. In the new screen that appears, press the ▶ ︎ button for the channel you want to watch to start playing it, and that's it.
It will be useful to know that without an account you can also take advantage of all the features provided by RaiPlay for live programs, such as the pause or function Restart (for supported programs) which allows you to watch a program that has already aired since its inception.
If, on the other hand, you want to review a program broadcast on Rai channels in the last week or want to access RaiPlay's on-demand content, you must log in to your account. If you don't have one yet, connect to the official website of the service, press the button Log in, at the top right, select the option Subscribe and click on your voice Create a Rai account.
On the newly opened page, enter the required data in the fields Your name, Last name, Email, Password, Birthday e Gender, put the check mark to accept the terms of use of the service and click on the button Subscribe, in order to create your account. How to access RaiPlay from TV
Having made this necessary initial premise on using RaiPlay without registration, you are ready to access your account and take advantage of all the features dedicated to registered users, such as saving your favorite titles or resuming the viewing of a previously started content.
There was one Smart TV, first access the TV store and locate the RaiPlay app via the internal search engine. Once this is done, click on the button Install, to start the download, and wait for the download and installation of the application to complete. Since the procedure for installing new applications varies depending on the model of Smart TV in your possession, I recommend that you follow the instructions provided in my specific guide on how to install apps on Smart TVs.
After starting the RaiPlay app, select the option Log in (using i arrow keys on the remote control) and, in the new screen that appears, choose the item Log in with email and password. Then enter your login details in the fields Email e Password, select the option NEXT and premium tasto OK on the remote control to log into your account.
Alternatively, you can associate the TV in use with your account from a computer. In this case, start the RaiPlay app on your Smart TV, select the option Log in and write down the code of 5 code displayed on the screen, then access RaiPlay from your computer, connected to the Associate page, enter the code in question in the field Enter the code that appeared on your Smart TV and click sul pulsating Associate, to associate the TV with your account and access all the content of your interest.
How do you say? Don't have a Smart TV? In that case, you will be pleased to know that you can watch RaiPlay on your TV using special devices, such as Amazon Fire TV Stick o chromecast, which allow you to turn a TV into a Smart TV.
If you have chosen to use the Amazon Fire TV Stick, after downloading and starting the RaiPlay app, to access your account, you can follow the instructions I have given you in the lines dedicated to the procedure for accessing RaiPlay from a Smart TV. If, on the other hand, you have chosen to watch RaiPlay with Chromecast, you can access your account from your computer (from the official RaiPlay website) or from your smartphone or tablet using the service app. For further information, read the tutorials I just linked to you.
How to access RaiPlay from a computer
If you prefer to access RaiPlay contents that require registration from computer, all you have to do is connect to the official website of the service and choose one of the available access modes.
To proceed, start the browser you usually use to browse the Internet (eg. Chrome, Firefox o Safari), connected to the main page of RaiPlay and click on the button Log in, top right. On the new screen that appears, make sure the tab is selected Log in, enter the data associated with your account in the fields Email e Password and press pulsating Log in, to login.
Alternatively, if you have registered to RaiPlay using your Facebook account, click on the button Log in related to Facebook visible in the section Log in with social media. Similarly, you can also do it using your Twitter account (by clicking on the button Twitter) or your Google account (by pressing the button Google). Regardless of the service chosen to log in, you will automatically be connected to your RaiPlay account.
As mentioned in the introductory lines of this guide, it is possible to watch Rai channels live and some RaiPlay content on demand even without an account. In that case, by clicking on the button Play of the contents that require registration, the login screen will be shown and you will be able to log in to your account by following the instructions provided in the previous lines.
It will be useful to know that, at any time, you can log out of your account. To do this, simply click on yours photo, top right, and choose the option Disconnect from the menu that appears. Simple, right?
How to access RaiPlay from smartphones and tablets
Be your intention è access RaiPlay from smartphones and tablets using the app for Android and iOS / iPadOS, start the latter by tapping on its icon on the home screen of your device and tap on the option Other, located in the bottom menu.
In the new screen that appears, press the button Log in, enter the login details associated with your account in the fields Email e Password e fai tap sul pulsating Log in, to login. If you don't remember your account password, you can set a new one by selecting the option Did you forget your password?, by entering your email address in the field Email and pressing the buttons Send e OK.
Within a few moments, you will receive an email to the email address associated with your RaiPlay account, containing a link to reset your password. Then press on the link in question, enter the new password to be associated with your account in the fields New password e Repeat the password and press pulsating Save, to save the new passkey.
How do you say? Have you registered for RaiPlay using one of your social accounts? If so, tap on the options Other e Log in and, in section Log in with social media, tap on the option of your interest: Log in, to log in with your Facebook account; Twitter, to log in using your Twitter account or Google, if you signed up using your Google account.
How to access RaiPlay abroad
If you are wondering if it is possible access RaiPlay abroad, you must know that the answer is positive albeit with some limitations. In fact, users who are outside the cittàn borders can only access the live view of RaiNews24, while the other channels are not available.
Furthermore, the on demand contents for which Rai holds the broadcasting rights on foreign territory are visible from abroad. For all other contents the message "We are sorry, RAI holds the rights to stream the content exclusively for connections from Italy".
That said, you can get around location-based restrictions by using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) which allows you to mask your Internet activity and hide your IP address.
